Arindam Bhattacharyya inherited music from his father, legendary tabla maestro of Luknow Gharana Pandit Swaraj Bhattacharyya & his grandfather Late Sangitacharya Bibhuti Bhusan Bhattacharyya. Though he is born and brought up with the sound of Tabla, his inner urge and gifted voice turned him into a Vocalist.
Arindam is a very laborious student of his guru and renowned musician, vocalist, composer and teacher Pandit Ranjan Mukherjee who has a very rare background of Talim in the tradition of Patiala Gharana and Kotali Gharana(The Gharana of Late Sangitacharya Tarapada Chakraborty and his son Late Pandit Manas Chakraborty, the outstanding luminary in the musical galaxy).
Arindam is a Gold Medalist from Rabindra Bharati University, and received many awards like Sangitacharya Girijashankar Chakraborty Prize by R.B.U., Nirod Baron Memorial Prize by R.B.U., Acharya Uday Bhusan Bhattacharya Smrity Puraskar by R.B.U., Bijon Ghosh Dostidar Gold Medal by R.B.U., National Scholarship by Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Govt. of India., National Scholarship by Ministry of Education, Govt. of India., Divisional Railway Manager’s Award for coordinating the musical programmes as a coordinator of Divisional Cultural Association and many more.
Now Arindam is pursuing for his Ph.D in music from Rabindra Bharati University.
Being an ‘A’- Graded Artist of All India Radio and Doordarshan, he performed extensively all over India and abroad.
Beside pure Classical music Arindam is a very promising Composer and Music Director.
