Luna Poddar further established her dance institute "Prerna, Centre for Performing Arts" in the year 2002 with a vision in mind. Creating a platform for the upcoming generation to create and inculcate the traditions and roots, she has directed many productions which has toured all over India being showcased at prestigious festivals in Kolkata, Lucknow, Delhi, Orissa, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Benaras to name a few. Further her directional and choreographical brilliance have been witnessed at the 35th North American Bengali Conference, Texas, 2015, 2017, the 70th Celebration of Indian Independence in Oman, a ministry of culture initiative and many more.She has also worked with and still works with MANOVIKAS KENDRA, Kolkata, a rehabilitation centre for disabled and special children where dance is incorporated as a therapeutic process to heal and develop the children. Luna Poddar has also worked with several NGOs including hundreds of kids, where dance was used as a medium to spread harmony and peace, a social responsibility amalgamating culture and art. Luna Poddar is currently working to propagate the value an learnings of the art form, SAMBANDH, including reputed artists in the field of classical music and dance, creating an ambience where upcoming artists are given a platform too!
An in house project under the banner name of PRERNA CENTRE FOR PERFORMING ARTS, SAMBANDH is a monthly event where all forms of art, music, dance, dance theatre merges.
